I met Tony Daniels in 1986. I was doing mornings at a radio station in St. Catharines and Tony would call in on the toll free telephone line and just break into these funny voices. As I discovered, Tony was doing the same thing to pretty much every morning show host in the market, and deservedly so.
Tony is an extremely talented voice artist, musician and personality. As we talk about in the podcast, he also is one of the best networkers in the industry. He has done it through talent, hard work and a clean lifestyle that allows him to put in long days.
As a result, he’s been rewarded for over 19 years with the responsibility of being one of the imaging voices on the CBC radio and television network. As well he has voiced more animated cartoons and commercials than I can count. And he’s branched out into screen roles with a recent spot on an HBO series.
If you have an interest in what it takes to be a success in a very competitive industry, give this episode a listen. Tony is a truly gifted artist and speaking with him is always a treat.
